As the UK’s national academy for engineering, we bring together the most successful and talented engineers for a shared purpose: to advance and promote excellence in engineering. We have four strategic challenges: make the UK the leading nation for engineering innovation; address the engineering skills crisis; position engineering at the heart of society; and lead the profession.
For the past six years we have been delivering a programme to increase diversity and inclusion across the engineering profession. At the heart of the programme is an ambition to not only increase the representation of women, ethnic minority groups, younger and older people, disabled people, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people; but also to create more inclusive cultures where all engineers thrive.
