BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST – FINANCE | LONDON, LEICESTER SQUARE

**Reporting To:**Head of Finance Systems

Overall purpose:

Reporting to the Head of Finance Systems (‘HoFS’), the Business Intelligence Analyst - Finance (‘BIAF’) will drive change on how the Finance community use data. Deep diving into current processes you will scope, change and challenge the status quo by building reporting, visualisations and models that equip the Finance community to make better informed decisions. As the champion of all Business Intelligence within Finance you will develop a suite of analytics connecting to various data sources.

This role involves training, educating and raising awareness of how Finance operate. You will be the advocate for change, entering a department with a fresh, modern means of thinking that prepares our Finance community for the future.

In addition, resultant of the expanded operating models, there is an exciting transition in Finance that integrates all new and connecting systems and opening up data sources to be explored more than ever before. This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of the community bringing together Business Intelligence and Finance.

Key aspects of the role;

  • Understand and learn how the Finance department operates and the various functions
  • Scope current processes and get into the detail to provide modern, efficient solutions
  • Business partner at all levels within Finance, Technology and other key stakeholders
  • Overcome barriers to change and challenge “the way things are done”
  • Coach, teach, cooperate and develop the Finance team
  • Modernize reporting and commercial analytics capabilities

  • Become the face of Finance for all Reporting, BI and Analytics

What you’ll be doing...

  • You’ll work in the finance systems team to:
  • Change how Finance build reporting on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Build models that can predict Budgets and Forecasts to assist Finance
  • Build a suite of dashboards, packs and visualisations for FP&A
  • Automate exception reporting and alerts for Credit Control and Purchasing
  • Learn from and build Cashflow models for Financial Accounting team
  • Connect to API’s and explore a greater level of detail than ever before
  • You’ll drive increased efficiency and productivity across finance
  • You’ll be the face of Finance Systems support in our Central London offices working on projects and adding value though business intelligence
  • You’ll work closely with HoFS, the rest of the Finance Systems Team and experienced Finance professionals
  • You’ll drive the continuous improvement of the groups financial systems and analytical capabilities, to make them better, simpler and more efficient
  • You’ll project manage support solutions that scope, design, implement, test and monitor changes
  • You’ll deliver maximum value working to tight deadlines

You’ll have experience in...

  • Some knowledge of Financial data is desirable
  • You will have a proven track record in improving business processes
  • Experience with system integration, improvement and modernization
  • Advanced skills in Excel and SQL, VBA and other Programming languages
  • Extensive experience with analytics tools such as Tableau, Alteryx or Qlikview
  • Experience in interpreting, structuring and optimizing large data sets (both financial and non-financial)
  • You will have developed business partnering relationships within an organization
  • Driving change, improvement and challenge of existing processes
