An excellent opportunity has arrived for a talented Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our family and become a part of something special. Sofology is an innovative, fast growing, retail business with a passion for technology driving the business forward on all platforms and media channels.
Responsible for the reliability, availability & performance of the IT infrastructure including data, voice, systems security and controls.
To maintain physical, virtual and cloud based environments relating to Sofology's online and in-store IT services. This will include development, stage and production systems.
To ensure that the infrastructure is maintained to support delivery of services to multiple platforms, focusing on resilience and performance.
Document the design, operation and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures.
To keep abreast of technical developments of operational importance to Sofology and to participate in developing or setting standards as directed.
Proactive monitoring of all IT Infrastructure and application services.
What we are looking for:
Extensive IT infrastructure background with prior (and current) experience in the core infrastructure technologies, including: VMWare, Linux, Windows Server, Active Directory and Cloud based hosting.
Practical experience in systems administration and management of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Solid experience working with key IT vendors such as but not limited to Microsoft, Cisco, Meraki and VMware.
Physical infrastructure installation & management such as SANs, switching stacks and Servers.
The use of Open source products to help maintain and monitor systems.
Good experience of Cloud Infrastructure.
Experience of Capacity Management.
Experience with PCI compliance on IT Infrastructure and processes.
Any experience of retail &/or multi-site locations is highly desirable.
The use and implementation of scripting to aid in automation is highly desirable
