We're looking for a senior electronics engineer to join the Azure Sphere Devices and Demos team.

As a team member you'll help define and develop hardware solutions that showcase the product and demonstrate its capabilities. You’ll also be involved in designing reference solutions that enable our customers to deliver Azure Sphere based products. In addition, there will be design work to help build-out test infrastructure to support ongoing product development.

Although this position is predominantly centered around hardware design, it would be an advantage to have some embedded C software engineering skills too.

Responsibilities

  • Take a leading role helping to specify, design and configure custom hardware for use within a test lab environment.

  • Contribute to the ideation and design of new prototype devices and demos.

  • Help with debugging new and existing hardware designs.

  • Work with other team members to prepare reference designs for public release.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree (or above) in electronics engineering or equivalent, OR an additional 4 year’s work experience
  • 5 or more years digital electronics design and development experience within a commercial environment
  • 3 or more years’ experience using Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout, including designing multi-layer, impedance controlled, surface mount PCBs
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and to work with software engineering team members across the wider group
  • Software engineering skills, including experience writing embedded C code


PREFERRED

  • Experience designing RF and analogue circuits
  • Understanding of CE/FCC certification process
  • FPGA knowledge and Verilog/VHDL experience
  • Experience using software or hardware debuggers to help debug issues
