Firmwide Data Management – DNA Reference Data Lead - VP

Description

The Chief Data Office has a mandate set and actively supported at the board level to transform data management towards demonstrable shareholder value. The **Data Network Architecture (“D.N.A.”)**team has a firm wide remit to deliver a broad set of data management capabilities including the overall functional and technical vision for data governance.

Description:

Manage BAU use of Reference Data in a strategic firm wide data lineage tool (DNA). Focusing on version management and controlled change, performing impact analysis and overseeing releases. Support the DNA Reference Data Manager in the development of the Reference Data portfolio and liaising with Business/Technology/Information Architect stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

DNA Reference Data Lead

  • Engage business and

technology stakeholders to understand the reference data needs in order

to capture data lineage.

  • Partner with our own

internal DNA Controlled Vocabulary Governance and Lineage Ops teams to

meet their classification and reference data requirements.

  • Manage versioning for

multiple libraries that feed DNA data lineage tools in a controlled

manner. Understand impact of changes and help establish and then manage

a robust Operational change process and the ever-greening of DNA data

facts.

  • Help deliver a Reference

Data API, meeting all necessary NFRs.

  • Support development of

automated feeds to a DNA Reference Data store and the subsequent

distribution through a DNA Reference Data API.

  • Engage with Reference

Data owners and Governance Forums to influence change, meet and apply

standards and controls. Where required, help establish governance and

standards.

  • Support DNA Reference

Data Manager in developing the portfolio of libraries for DNA.

  • Partner with DNA Product

Owners to deliver their Reference Data requirements and help enhance

the application.

  • Implement Standards and

Controls in partnership with JPMorgan Core Reference teams/applications,

including complex change (e.g. Merges, Splits and Replacements).

  • Support UAT of the DNA

Reference Data tooling.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business,

Engineering or Information Systems.

  • 3+ years of related work

experience.

  • Understanding of

Financial Services.

  • Outstanding verbal and

written communications.

  • Demonstrated analytical

and problem solving skills.

  • Proactive in identifying

issues and recommending solutions.

  • Motivated to work

effectively in a high pressure work environment.

  • Experience in Data

Management, Data Strategy or Big Data a plus.
