Project Manager – Equipment Management

Would you like to play a key role in thesupport of Naval Ships and Submarines? We currently have a vacancy for a ProjectManager – Equipment Manager at our site in Broad oak, Portsmouth.

As a Project Manager, you will be managing thedelivery of equipment support contracts across the Royal Navy Fleet inclusiveof Surface and Submarine Platforms. This includes delivery of spares, repairsand obsolescence solutions in accordance with the customer requirements. Youwill be working across multiple functions to ensure that the customers andplatforms needs are supported on a global scale delivering to cost and quality.

This role will provide you with the opportunityto work in one of the newest, largest and rapidly expanding areas of warshipsupport.

Your main responsibilities as a Project Manager– Equipment Management will involve:

Project Management responsibility for a number of small/medium projects with significant customer and supplier engagement.

Ensuring the accuracy of contract review packs,phase reviews and all reporting; including financial and budgetary

Ensuring projects adhere to time, cost andquality

Undertaking risk management, using the riskregister

Liaising with Procurement, Supply Chain andEngineering to ensure all programmes are on track

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

Experience successfully managing customerservice delivery projects with significant amounts of supply chain activityinvolving the provision of equipment spare/repairs.

Experience running Contract and Phase Reviewsfor projects in accordance with the Lifecycle Management Framework

Responsible for running Contract and PhaseReviews for the work package in accordance with the Lifecycle ManagementFramework

Stakeholder management experience, with asignificant track record in customer and supplier engagement

Experience of management reporting anddelivering projects in accordance with customer KPIs.

Desirable:

Experience of working with a Defence customerin an Engineering environment

Experience working in a Service deliveryenvironment

Experience in financial reporting

PM qualification (e.g. APMP, PMP)

Degree/HND qualified or equivalent experience
