Senior Programme Engagement Lead
Would you like to play a key senior engagementrole between Infrastructure Services (IMT) and the BAE Systems Submarines BoatProgrammes? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Programme Engagement Leadat our site in Barrow-in-Furness.
As a Senior Programme Engagement Lead, you willbe representing the interests of the programme within IM&T and ensuring theservice/projects/investments which are being undertaken on behalf of theprogramme are managed sufficiently.
This role will provide you with a uniqueopportunity to act as the voice of the ‘Programme’ into the IM&T DirectorateLeadership, ensuring that variations, impacts and priorities are reflected backinto the leadership for all IM&T Directorate initiatives that affect the‘Programme’ in a different manner than the core business, and the opportunityto progress through the IM&T Career Framework as a member of the executivecommunity.
Your main responsibilities as a SeniorProgramme Engagement Lead will involve:
Act as the voice of the ‘Programme’ into theIM&T Directorate Leadership, ensuring that variations, impacts andpriorities are reflected back into the leadership for all IM&T Directorateinitiatives that affect the ‘Programme’ in a different manner than the corebusiness. This involves consistent representation/involvement at the‘Programme’ senior leadership meetings.
Coordinating Service Strategy with customergoals working across IM&T teams (Architecture, Service Delivery,Operations, Solution Design, Project Management, Information Security andStrategy and Engagement
Chairing the ‘Programme’ / IM&T ServiceDelivery and Monthly Programme Assurance Meetings.
Coordinating Quarterly ‘Programme’ – IM&TDirectorate Steering Boards and all actions emerging.
Maintaining alignment of ‘Programme’ projects,IM&T change programmes and IM&T service support affecting the‘Programme’.
Lead the development of the strategic‘Programme’ requirements through roadmap development, and co-ordinate theeffort of the supporting functions dependencies.
Identifying service improvement opportunitiesand co-ordinating the ‘Programme’ and IM&T to achieve the improvement
The evaluation and coordination of all IM&Tchange programmes and IM&T service support affecting the ‘Programme’
Ensure the approved investments are progressedin-line with the ‘Programme’ expectations.
Foster a collaborative culture between the‘Programme’ and IM&T. Leading initiatives to support knowledge transfer andincrease awareness of the ‘Programme’ across the IM&T community.
Your skills and qualifications as a SeniorProgramme Engagement Lead:
Stakeholdermanagement frequently at Management Committee and Head of Level.
Understanding of how Submarines programmes work,the stages they go through.
Anappreciated of the Engineering CADMID lifecycle.

Our Submarines business has been safelydelivering world class submarines to the UK Royal Navy for more than a century.
The Astute class will equip the Royal Navy withits largest and most capable generation of attack submarines. We areresponsible for the design, build, test and commissioning of thesestate-of-the-art vessels. In total, seven boats will make up the fleet, eachweighing a mighty 7,400 tonnes.
