As a ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT, you will haveextensive interaction within BAPFIM with the front and middle office. They willalso have significant interaction with the accounting teams in Group Pensions,Northern Trust (the schemes’ custodian) and Equiniti Paymaster (the schemes’administrator)
This role will provide you with Greatopportunity to work with senior accountants and establish a career within BAE
Your main responsibilities as a ASSISTANTACCOUNTANT will involve:
Preparing the daily valuation for all theschemes to be sent out to the front office
Processing the daily cash requests intoNorthern Trust the GCM system
Preparing and posting cash transactions thatoccur in the month
Reconcile cash balances on a monthly basis
Preparing and posting property transactions
Prepare the property option to tax forms fornew property purchases
Assisting with any internal or external auditrequests
Assisting with purchase ledger, includingrequesting invoices to be signed off, processing invoices to be paid, creatingPOs
Assisting with month end and quarter endduties, including calculating change in market value, loading strategic assetallocations and preparing lead schedules
Your skills and qualifications:
Either qualified for part qualified ACA / ACCA/ CIMA; Co. would support study to become qualified.
Minimum of two years accounting experience;
Advanced Excel user
Investment experience and pensions knowledgedesirable but not essential
