You will be responsible for design, implementation, support, and documentation of the Equity Derivatives Market Risk suite of applications with ownership of the following tasks:

-Liaise with the Business globally to understand requirements and identify technical solutions

-Develop specific enhancements and/or build new solutions to fulfil business objectives related to new business requirements

-Comply with project life cycle methodology and adhere to IT control policies and guidelines

-Work productively with minimum supervision

-Support system testing, user testing and production implementation

-Where appropriate, define the development plan and milestones, and ensure delivery is in line with initial plan and strategy

-Provide 3rd level support to the business

-Work with those responsible for the operation of the application to investigate, debug and resolve issues

-Become familiar with financial products and other business aspects related to the application

Requirements:

-Solid knowledge of Transactional SQL (T-SQL) programming with the ability to write and maintain stored procedures

-The ability to translate a business requirement into functional model

-Proficient in UNIX shell scripting and command line features

-Good knowledge of a high-level programming knowledge with a preference of Java or Python

-Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

-Strong written and verbal communication skills

-Willingness to deliver functionality across a range of languages and technologies (including SQL, Java, Python, JavaScript) and platforms (Unix, Cloud)
