Lead Analyst, RBWM Digital

This role sits within RBWM Data and Analytics CoE, a Global organization that specializes in providing state of art analytics and solutions to the RBWM Business. The function supports Product, Channel, Pricing, Digital and several other areas within RBWM. The department has more than 300 Machine Learning Users and are building this capability with several use cases. Opportunity to leverage advanced analytics to solve business problems and scale these capabilities

This role reports into the Assets Analytics Manager. You’ll be responsible for working with the Assets analytics team to deliver best in class analytics that supports the business in making critical decisions across various strategies. Here you will work in partnership with key stakeholders across UK RBWM banking and propositions and group to understand business strategy and how advanced analytics can help drive actions with relevant insights and analysis.

The Lead Analyst role is accountable for generating actionable insights into areas such as customer behaviours, commercial performance and profitability across key strategies in order to identify opportunities to create business value. They will be familiar with techniques such as correlation tests, hypothesis tests, machine learning, cluster analysis, data mining and visualization and can use them to drive actionable insights for the businessThe Lead Data Scientist role is accountable for generating actionable insights into areas such as customer behaviours, commercial performance and profitability across key strategies in order to identify opportunities to create business value. Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with key stakeholders in product teams, risk and finance to deliver value for the UK RBWM consumer assets business through data, analysis, reporting and insight. Harnessing the value that is available from robust information in relation to commercial performance and customer behaviours across products and strategies
  • Design and execute robust testing framework across products and customer segments to help us build significant insights around customer behaviour and business performance
  • Develop or deploy predictive models which aid decision making and helps us tailor appropriate products, offers and services to customers that meet their borrowing needs
  • Oversee the development of programs which automate data collection, assimilation, aggregation and visualisation.
  • Lead on various analytics projects which originate from regulatory requirements and ensure robust data and insights are provided by maintaining highest standards of quality and timeliness
  • Develop a robust cycle of performance review for key programs across products and identify improvement opportunities. This will cover key strategies across asset products – cards, loans and mortgages
  • Constantly review and explore advanced analytics opportunities for deployment in current business strategies driving a positive impact on customer engagement and commercial performance
