Electrical C&I Engineer
Would you like to play a key role in thecontrol and automation activities of submarine systems? We currently have avacancy for an Electrical C&I Engineer at our site in Barrow-in-Furness.
As an Electrical C&I Engineer, you will bepart of the C&I Hardware team who work with a wide range of electrical andmechanical submarine systems. You will be working closely with our team’ssubject matter experts, as well as a range of internal business stakeholders,including mechanical, electrical and transverse teams.
You will have the opportunity to work within arole where no two days are the same, as well as the chance for excellent careerprogression opportunities within the team, as well as the wider submarinesbusiness. You will gain exposure to all stages of the product lifecycle, whilstworking across complex and interesting submarine programmes.
Your main responsibilities as an ElectricalC&I Engineer will involve:
Producing system designs and documentation,including design descriptions, schematic diagrams and safety justifications
Equipment specification and selection; andcollating equipment attributes to supporting build model and bill of materialcompilation
Supporting system design reviews and modelreviews
Collating equipment qualification evidence
Preparing test plans, attending equipmentfactory acceptance tests and reviewing test evidence and reports
Supporting procurement process
Interacting with transversal stakeholders
Your skills and qualifications as an ElectricalC&I Engineer:
Degree or equivalent in relevant engineeringdiscipline, such as Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Experience of the engineering design process
