Senior QC Inspector - Electrical
Would you like to get more involved in theQuality function as part of the Safety and Quality Directorate? We currentlyhave a vacancy for a Senior QC Inspector – Electrical at our site in Barrow inFurness.
As a Senior QC Inspector - Electrical, you willbe part of the Quality Control team that is part of the Quality Function, whichforms part of the Safety and Quality Directorate. The team will support theManufacturing facilities General Manager in delivery where the Quality TeamLeader takes accountability for delivering the Quality Inspection requirementsof Manufacturing as part of the submarine build programme. This involvesunderstanding the Quality requirements, the schedule and priorities. The roleis also accountable for ensuring that high quality records are produced as anoutput of inspection they undertake.
This role will provide you with an opportunityto progress into a Team Leader position, or move into another area of qualityor out into Build Delivery.
Your main responsibilities as a Senior QCInspector - Electrical are as follows:
Undertake Routine andComplex Inspections with minimal supervision
Record Results andNon Conformances, and manage these through to completion
Support processreviews of inspection activities to embed a continuous improvement culture
Deputise for TeamLeader where required
Accountability forgeneration, verification and completion of Contractual Quality Records
Represent QualityInspection delivery within IWT
Your skills and qualifications:
Engineering or Manufacturing Background
Understanding of Quality Inspection Techniques
Good IT skills
Problem solving and Root Cause Analysis
Knowledge of Business Systems (inc SAP)

Ability to communicate with all levels ofbusiness regarding quality matters.
Excellent communication skills to enable thefeedback of inspection results using the agreed processes set out by thebusiness to various departments
