Senior OperationsTechnician– Mechanical

Would you like to join an ever growing and exciting team within ourPlant Maintenance department? We currently have a vacancy for a SeniorOperations Technician at our site in Barrow.

As a Senior Operations Technician, you will be focusing on mechanical aspectsof Maintenance in site operational areas. You will work directly within a smallself-motivated team of site technicians serving the department and supportingthe departments skilled trades groups.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work within a highlyskilled part of the business while dealing with stakeholders. There are anumber of career development avenues and pathways that the role can develop forthe right candidate.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Operations Technician willinvolve:

Working Safely at all times complying with health and safety and otherrelevant regulations and guide lines and company Processes.

Planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems on the Shiplift

Carry out fault finding and testing activity

Follow relevant instructions, Technical drawings and manufacturesdrawings

Use associated tools and equipment safely and effectively

Understanding of Regulation i.e. Loler, Puwer, COSHH etc.

Assisting with maintenance reviews, providing technical advice asrequired

Support and Mentor apprentices

Your skills and qualifications:

Mechanical – Fitter apprenticeship

Ability to read technical / working drawingsand O&M manuals

To have knowledge or understanding of MS officepackages

Plant maintenance background

Experience in the repair and maintenance ofheavy machine tools and equipment.

What we're looking for in you:

Fault finding experience in mechanical trade

Competent in Isolation process, working at heights, folk lift truckdriving, EOT cranes and slinging

Ability to liaise with key stakeholders at all levels of the business

Knowledge of SAP and Engica Q4
