Lead Qlik Developer

Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC’s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank.
Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.
Following extensive investment across our Technology and Digital domains and with plans for continued expansion throughout 2019 and beyond, we are currently seeking an experienced Lead Qlik Developerto join HSBC Technology.
The purpose of this role is to lead the existing development team in Poland, work with business users & stakeholders, and provide hands-on analysis & development capabilities. The FCTM Qlik application includes the following products: QlikSense, N-Printing, and GeoAnalytics. Whilst there are legacy applications in QlikView, the future focus is on QlikSense. The purpose of this role is to support existing Qlik-based applications, develop new applications (dashboards) as directed by the business users, and improve the quality controls and efficiency/automation across a delivery.
There are a number of dashboards in the portfolio, therefore the lead developer needs to be able to multitask and self-manage their workload (and the development team's workload). In the production environment, the role will need to help the Level 2 team (this is the dedicated application support team).
Key duties include:
- Business user and
- Managing the small
IT development team in Poland.
- Reviewing business
requirements submitted via JIRAs & ensuring that they're clear.
QlikSense, and N-Printing changes (possibly with Qlik GeoAnalytics).
- Assigning tasks to
the Qlik development team in Poland and tracking progress.
- Following the team’s
delivery methodology (unit testing, documentation, integration testing,
package/deploy, release processes).
- Supporting UAT.
- Providing support
- Providing production
support (third line).
- Ensuring compliance
with the bank's stringent information security requirements.
- Testing the Qlik
- Taking ownership of
the dashboards and being responsible for the quality of the deliverable.
- Possibly support of
legacy QlikView applications but this is not a priority.
