Senior Engineering Manager (Product Security)

Would you like to play a key role in the delivery and development of SubmarineCombat Systems? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Engineering Manager (Product Security) working from Frimley or Weymouth.

As a Senior Engineering Manager(Product Security) you will lead the Combat Systems Product Security Team ofcurrently 5 engineers based in Frimley and Weymouth.The Product Security Team is engaged in theproduction and maintenance of Product Security documentation for the CombatSystem on all UK Submarines.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to lead on and implementa wide ranging product security strategy.

**Your main responsibilities as a****Senior Engineering Manager (Product Security)**will involve:

Leading and managing Combat SystemsProduct Security Team; ensuring each team member is assessed, developed,deployed and skilled to maximise their personal contribution and to meet therequirements of contracts, schedules and specifications.

Identifying Product Security resourcerequirements through the lifecycle of each project and manage engineeringresource within agreed limits.

Performing appropriate engineeringplanning, management and review activities to ensure Products are safe, fullycompliant and delivered within agreed requirements for cost, quality, time andschedule.

Ensuring capability and skillsdevelopment, performance optimisation & maximisation and efficient use ofresources within the Product Security Team

Reviewing the Product Securityprocesses and procedures to reduce waste, improve efficiency and establish adynamic and flexible best in class capability.

Interfacing and influencing internaland external (customer and other stakeholders) such that Product Securitydeliverables meet Customer requirements

Ensuring all engineering activitiesare undertaken in line with the Operational Framework and that compliance withall engineering policies is maintained.

Providing Product Security input to bids and develop ProductSecurity work packages.

Your skills and qualifications:

Degree qualified in a relevant engineering or science discipline

Recognised qualification in Product Security

Experience of Product Security engineering and management

Experience of leading a small Engineering Team

Complex Systemsand Support:

Complex Systems and Support (CS&S)is part of BAE Systems Submarines.
