Wecurrently have a vacancy for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team inGlasgow. This role will utilise the Engineering Integration Test Facility(EITF) based in Leicester. This is a great opportunity to join a small diverseteam which is leading on test and trials at a unique Naval integration testsite, operating real power and propulsion equipment which will ultimately befitted to a Type26 frigate, with the aim of unearthing integration issuesbefore any ship of the class first enters the water.

Therole of the Senior Electrical Engineer plays an active part in realising thebenefits and learning opportunity of EITF by analysis of test results and rootcause analysis. The role will also be involved in further developing the designof the EITF and developing design improvements. Working across the disciplinesof power & propulsion, electrical distribution and systems integration, therole holder will be responsible for providing electrical engineering input tothe delivery of the EITF design and integration of ship fit equipment into theland-based test facility.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior ElectricalEngineer will involve:

Conductingan assessment of the test data and analysis of any electrical power system data

Preparingand producing technical analysis reports

PerformingRoot Cause analysis investigations

Leadingdiscussions with wider stakeholders

Providinghelp and direction to less experienced team members to support both theireffective working and their development

Your skills and qualifications as a Senior ElectricalEngineer:

Essential:

Experienceof electrical power systems modelling, and simulation experience combined withsome diversity of experience of project or product environments

Abilityto perform robust analysis using recognised analytical tools and to make soundjudgements based on experience

Proficientwith software simulation & design tools, MATLAB, Simulink experience

Desirable:

Recognisedand consulted as one of the experts within at least one domain or forpossessing deep knowledge of several domains within his/her discipline

Showsevidence of continued learning in their field of expertise and practicessharing knowledge

Responsibility/decisionmaking responsibility within own sphere of responsibility and delegatedauthority

Experienceof managing budgets

Previousexperience of leading/managing a team

You will need excellent communication skillswith the ability to communicate and engage with stakeholders.You must possess an ability to workindependently based on your own initiative and capable of multi-tasking on avariety of projects with every changing deadline.

Location: Scotstounwith infrequent travel to test facility in Leicester
