Senior Electrical Engineer

We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Glasgow. Within the T26 Electrical Integration Test Facility team, the role of the Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for overseeing the analysis of electrical power system data and subsequent root cause analysis of electrical or functional problems. The role will also be involved in undertaking electrical power system studies (transients, harmonics and stability) and developing further design improvements.
Working across the disciplines of electrical distribution, power & propulsion, and systems integration, the role holder will be responsible for providing electrical engineering input to electrical test reports focused on electrical quality of power supply and equipment behaviour.
The role holder will develop a detailed functional understanding of the equipment within the Type 26 power and propulsion system, and will leverage this as part of developing analysis reports. The role also involves investigating functional integration issues and challenging aspects of the existing system design.
This role will also have some involvement with electrical power systems modelling team and may include supporting the simulation of electrical power system events in order to generate results for comparison and validation.

Location: Glasgow (Bristol could be considered) with infrequent travel to Leicester Site
