Product Safety Engineer

Wecurrently have a vacancy for a Product Safety Engineer to join our team inGlasgow. In this role you will be playing a key role in working with the safetyteam and be responsible for maintaining the SMARTer™ Hazard Log, performingupdates as requested by the safety team and providing statistics as required bymanagement. You will undertake a range of Product Safety activities in linewith all relevant project and corporate processes and any specific customerrequirements.

Your main responsibilities as a Product SafetyEngineer will involve:

Providingsupport to the Technical Authority teams with the management of the hazards,risks and associated mitigations and contributing to the development of thehazard log and the maturity of information contained within

Verifyingthe quality of submissions to the Hazard Log

Producingmonthly statistics on the contents of the Hazard Log

Workingwith the Technical Authority teams and embedded Safety Engineers in collatingadequate product safety related evidence to support the safety case andacceptance via the Requirements and Acceptance Team

Your skills and qualifications as a ProductSafety Engineer:

Experienceof working with safety in large scale or complex projects

Experienceof using the SMARTer tool

Workingknowledge of Product Safety Legislation& Regulation

Awarenessof formal hazard/safety assessment techniques and methods

Experienceof working in more than one phase of the Life Cycle
