  • RBWM’s goal is to re-imagine retail banking and offer modernand relevent banking services for it’s global customers and our business strategyplaces digital and data intelligence at its heart, with a clear focus oncustomer led growth.In support of this significantprogress has been made in the last two years setting up a brand new digitalorganisation and ways of working which enables this.
  • Looking forwards, Digital, Data and Development will continueto increase the scale and pace of delivery of ‘smart’ digital propostions forour customers - integrating theseseamlessly into the business and fully commercialising them to deliver tangiblevalue for the business.In tandem, data intelligencewill be harnessed to provide increasingly personal and relevant customerexperiences. All of this improving both customer efficacy and offering competitiveadvantage in many markets.
  • Throughout, it iscritical that colleagues in Digital, Data and Development and motivated andinspired by the business transformation that they are enabling through theirwork.Moreover that they are able torealise their full potential, supported by training, tools and a culture andworking environment that helps them perform at their best.
  • Beyond D3, there is the need to create a level understandingof the value D3 in support of collaborative and trusted ways of working and anexciting opportunity to postion HSBC as a pioneer in financial servicesre-invention.
  • The role holder will haveresponsbility for supporting both the colleague engagement and people agendaportfolios, operating to track and manage the statuses of each portfolio’s deliverablesand outcomes, co-ordinate programme reporting and stakeholder management,manage budgets and expenditure including annual operating plan and cost boardactivity.
  • Further the role holder willassist with the definition, implementation and adherence of standards/operationalefficiencies as well as maintaining project documentation, operationaldocuments and other information sources

  • Track and manage Colleague Engagement and People Agendadeliverables and outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain all governance activity for ColleagueEngagement and People Agenda portfolios
  • Undertake adhoc business analysis and/or support specificprojects as needed

Leadership& Teamwork

  • Establishing and

mainining highly effective working relationships with Colleague Engt and

People Agenda teams, gathering and processing information as needed and

supporting the teams to achieve objectives

  • Track and manage

team/discipline operations

Operational Effectiveness &Control

Controls and procedures inplace to antcipate and manage third party spend.


  • Managing the day

to day demands two separate portfolios – balancing the needs and priorities of

each ‘Head of’ and ensuring delivery of activity and outcomes in line with


  • Mobilising and

encouraging individuals and teams to provide timely information in an

appropriate format – driving both the efficiency of end to end processes

whilst minimising disruption/overheads for the team

  • Identification and

implementation of operational efficiences where this will benefit both


  • Managing activity

across multiple locations and timezones


  • The role will

suport both the Colleague Engagement and People Agenda portfolios.

  • The role holder

will be expected to act with high degree of autonomy and ownership of

their day to day work once priorities are set.

  • The role holder

will report into the Head of Digital Engagement, RBWM in the first


Management of Risk

  • The role holder

will continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role,

taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and

regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management

restructurings, and the impact of new transformation programmes.

  • All actions must

take account of operational risk, with risks managed appropriately and

reflected in plans following consultation with appropriate teams and


Observationof Internal Controls

  • The role holder

will demonstrate adherence to internal controls - achieved by adherence to

all relevant procedures, record keeping and, where appropriate, by the

timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including

issues raised by external regulators.

  • The roleholder

will align to the Group compliance policy by liaising with Risk/Compliance

about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity.Where applicable, the role holder will

ensure adequate resources are in place and that training is

identified/completed to foster a compliance culture and building stronger

relations with regulators.
