RolePurpose

  • Compliance Transformation (CT) ensures effective andefficient definition, planning, management and execution of global changeprogrammes related to financial crime risk, supporting the FCR business teamsand HSBC to meet its regulatory commitments. Financial crime risk covers key areas such as money laundering,sanctions and anti-bribery and corruption.
  • Global Transformation Business Analysts are at thecentre of how Transformation shapes, delivers and embeds change working withthe business and our delivery partners. They are typically responsible forRequirements Management, Design, Change Management and ImplementationManagement. Business Analysts work collaboratively with delivery partners andsubject matter experts in gathering, translating and clarifying requirementsand defining design options. In systems related projects and programmes, therole holder will support Software Delivery and IT Operations with thetranslation of business requirements and designs into more detailed functionalrequirements and designs, often representing the voice of the customer andbusiness in these discussions. The Business Analyst’s change managementactivities span from early change planning and audience analysis; through todesigning and delivering change interventions (e.g. communications, training,support, organisation alignment); and tracking and taking actions on changereadiness, adoption, and feedback. Business Analysts are also responsible forImplementation Management, including planning, controlling and reporting onimplementation of the change ‘product’, focusing on accelerating benefits andminimising risk during deployment. Implementation activities will also includemanaging implementation readiness and managing the early stages ofimplementation (e.g. pilot). In reengineering projects, they work closely withthe Process Consultants in analysing and re-engineering world class businessprocesses. Business Analysts will often lead design workstreams or teams,managing other Global Transformation Analysts, SMEs and resources from our deliverypartners.

Role Context

The job is a major pointof contact with the business and IT. The jobholder works independently and hasa high level of flexibility to consult with the business at all levels. Theywill need to have the ability to work closely with and build good relationshipswith Software Delivery, IT Operations, Service Delivery, and with other deliverypartners and Global Functions. The jobholder is expected to successfully engagein multiple initiatives simultaneously, taking a lead analyst role in largerprojects, directing all analyst activity
