The programme

We have an exciting opportunity for people wanting a career in electrical engineering at Schneider Electric with an Apprenticeship in the South East of the UK. The program is a combination of on the job learning whilst also obtaining NVQ L2, L3, ONC & HNC in Electrical/Power Engineering over a 4-year program at our Training provider near Chester.Your training will require you to travel to different Schneider sites and customer sites throughout the UK each week.

What you’ll do

-Assist with Testing, Repair and Maintenance of Electrical Power Distribution Equipment throughout the UK

-Practical training will be done in factory’s and workshops in Warrington, Leeds and Telford

-Senior Engineer mentoring on customer sites with practical training on Switchgear and Transformers

-Assist in the production of on-site test results and reports related to the work undertaken

-Participate if necessary in site work outside of normal working hours throughout the UK

-Promote Schneider Electric’s service and business opportunities

Required qualifications and skills:

-Minimum 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English grades A-C

-Provide evidence of eligibility to work in the UK

-Ability to communicate well in English, both written and spoken

-Be self-motivated, resourceful, flexible and customer focused

-Clean driving licence

-Able to travel across your region and sometimes the UK to client sites once qualified
