IM & T Manager- Product Management
We have afantastic opportunity to work within The ERP Competency Centre within IM&Twhich supports circa 7000 SAP Users. The department exists to ensure thatincidents relating to SAP are dealt with in a timely manner and that Changesrequested by the business relating to SAP are managed to conclusion. Thedepartment also administers User requests for access. SAP is a huge applicationdelivering much capability to the programmes, and we have a roadmap of projectwork to extend this capability over the coming years. When ERP Projects arise,the appropriate team members are seconded onto the project as subject matterexperts. We currently have a vacancy for an IM & T Manager at our site in Barrow.
As an IM &T Manager, you will work extensively with all ERPCC staff, ERP Project staffand key business stakeholders, to understand the SAP MM/SD configuration and development requirementsassociated with any SAP change/development, across all functional areas.
This role willprovide you with the chance to develop in line with company needs and individuals career plans. We have a SFIA aligned career roadmap allowing staff to progress beyond technical grades into our "Exec" population, in niche technical delivery roles or into more traditional line management roles. The focus of this position is technical delivery.
Your mainresponsibilities as a IM & T Manager will involve:
Incident Management:- Resolving SAP incidents relating to SAP MM/SD solution.
Requirementsanalysis – understanding the implications of requests for change coming in fromthe end user community, and working with the business and key stakeholders,together with ERPCC functional staff to ensure these requirements areadequately understood & documented.
ChangeManagement: - Development of functional specifications relating to a change.Delivery of SAP WM configurations to support the change. Working with internaland external partners during the build of the change, and finally testing ofthe change prior to deployment.
On largerprojects, working alongside Functional consultants and developers from SIpartners collaboratively delivering changes.
Production ofhigh-quality documentation (Functional specifications principally
Your skillsand qualifications as a IM & T Manager:
Currentknowledge of SAP MM/SD principles and practice.
Extensiveexperience of the SAP MM/SD module.
As many fullSAP project lifecycles as possible in a Lead/Senior Technical/Consultant role,ideally in complex regulated environments (eg Defence, Nuclear, Pharma,Banking).
Ability towork as part of a cross functional delivery team. Discussion of theimplications of your changes/developments with other team members.
Understandingof the key ITIL Processes impacting the department (Incident Management, ChangeManagement, Release Management and Configuration Management)
Ability toproduce high quality Functional specifications and work collaboratively withfunctional teams and developers to build, test and ultimately support thosedevelopments.
