Our Transport Planning team is looking to recruit a Project Director to join the team in Birmingham as a key addition to their continued development of Mott MacDonald's market presence in transport planning.
What will you be doing?
As a Project Director within the wider Surface Transport team, you will manage and deliver a range of transport planning projects. You will be involved in leading business development initiatives in new sectors and write proposals and tenders to win work. As the Project Director, you will manage the communicate the client's expectations, delivery timeframes, risk analysis and advise as well as provide strategic input into divisional business activities, developments and alignment. You'll also be involved in managing projects teams and mentoring staff.
Does this sound like you?
You have experience managing a range of transport planning projects and have developed skills in areas such as strategy, development, appraisal, transport policy or masterplanning. You've previously managed project teams and mentored staff including skills transfer and aligning development to best practice. You enjoy leading business development opportunities and are able to demonstrate your skills in writing successful proposals, bids and winning new work. Ideally you have worked within a consultancy environment and you are commercially aware and business focussed.
