The Digital Workplace Applications (DWA) team strives to simply and personalize everyday workplace experiences for JPMC employees by developing and delivering unified applications, platforms, and interfaces that drive business value.As a member of the DWA team, you will be responsible for leading the technical solution design and development team responsible for server side data APIs that support JPMC’s mobile and desktop applications, resulting in cross-device seamless experiences for JPMC application users.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

  • Extensive knowledge of cloud native design patterns, microservices and twelve-factor application methodology

  • Experience using Spring Boot, ORM (Hibernate or equivalent), JUint, Maven, Jenkins, Messaging and Caching

  • Experience with Linux based environments including shell scripting and basic infrastructure diagnostics

  • Knowledge of industry wide technology strategies and best practices

  • Keen understanding of financial control and budget management

  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience developing Java based services (including restful web services)

    • Familiar with microservices architecture design best practices , API taxonomy design, and service design tools (e.g. Swagger)

    • Experience developing applications that work with middleware and API management products (e.g. Apigee, MuleSoft, etc.)

  • Experienced practitioner of agile, with experience using project management tools such as the Atlassian suite (Jira, confluence, etc.)

  • Familiarity with PAAS and cloud technology stacks (CloudFoundry is strongly preferred)
