Role
We are looking for a Senior Research Analyst within the Global Convertibles team within Multi-Asset Solutions at J.P. Morgan Asset Management to cover the TMT sector. The team manages more than USD 5bn in portfolios that invest in convertible securities, non-convertible fixed income securities, and equities, following a rigorous bottom-up investment process.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Contributing to the investment debate and supporting portfolio manager in idea generation

- Ensuring that portfolios are within required risk and concentration limits

- Translating the views of the fundamental analysts into the portfolios
- Maintaining and developing the team's Portfolio Management systems
- Liaising with appropriate teams to resolve client queries and create marketing material

Required skills:


- Deep interest in investing and current affairs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to articulate complex issues
- Comfortable interacting with a broad audience of internal and external clients and colleagues
- Organizational skills; must be self-motivated with the ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritise appropriately to meet tight deadlines
- Strong technical & analytical skills
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently

- Great attention to detail


Beneficial skills:
- Familiarity with a variety of asset classes (equity, fixed income, derivatives)
- Knowledge of accounting concepts
- Experience working with databases
- Language skills (team have clients in French, German, Italian, and Spanish-speaking countries)

This role encompasses the performance of regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the relevant regulatory authorities to carry out such activities.
