Workforce Planner (Assurance)

Would you liketo lead and manage a team of professional Manufacturing Engineers in deliveringhighly complex, cross functional tasks and products whilst managing stakeholderand customer requirements? We currently have a vacancy for a Workforce Planner(Assurance) at our site in Barrow in Furness.

As a Workforce Planner (Assurance), you will bejoining the Manufacturing Engineering team within the Build DeliveryOrganisation at BAE Systems – Maritime Submarines. You will have the chance toeffectively utilise your technical background, and detailed knowledge andexperience of working in at least one of the specialist Manufacturing Engineering sub disciplinese.g. Manufacturing Build Planning, Dimensional Management etc, to deliveroptimum Production outputs.

ManufacturingEngineering is currently at an early stage of maturity and this role is key toforming the current and future state, through developing, implementing andassuring the governance framework.

Your mainresponsibilities as a Workforce Planner (Assurance) are as follows:

To provideguidance on the interpretation, understanding and application of the Disciplineprocesses

To perform afirst line of governance – e.g. violations of Discipline Processes

To conductfunctional audits and process confirmation to support Discipline Assuranceassessment

To champion thedeployment of new discipline technologies and methodologies including tools andIT to meet the future needs and improve efficiency

To maintain anddevelop the Management System for their Discipline within the area ensuringthat Engineering Processes applicable to the Discipline are correctly deployed

To approvedemand and manage supply solution for their Discipline within the Area

To supportrecruitment by assessing CVs, conducting interviews and signing off competencyi.e. that recruit meets professional standard

To provideinput to and contribute to review of Manufacturing Engineering Strategy

Yourskills and qualifications:

Essentials

ManufacturingEngineering Process Experience

Experience ofusing Microsoft packages

Understandingof through Business processes and product life cycle (including Life cyclemanagement)

Workforceplanning/ operational delivery experience

Desirable

Trained Auditor
