Mission Planning Senior Systems Engineer

Wouldyou like to play a key part in developing the ‘state of the art’ AircraftMission Planning System for our Air business? We currently have a vacancy for aMission Planning Senior Systems Engineer at our site in Warton.

Asa Mission Planning Senior Systems Engineer, you will gain an insight intoeverything mission related, including mission planning, mission rehearsalthrough to Pilot De-brief. This role will enable you to work withTyphoon/Hawk/Tornedo programmes, the Royal Navy Wildcat programme and supportwith export requirements in Oman, Qatar, Kuwait for example.

Thisrole will provide you with the opportunity to work with cutting edgetechnology, ensuring Mission Planning keeps in step with aircraft capabilityupgrade programmes in order to remain effective.

Your main responsibilities as a MissionPlanning Senior Systems Engineer will involve:

MaintainingMission Planning System Design Documents

MaintainingSupplier Product Specifications

MaintainingEngineering Packs in support of project Engineering Life-Cycle Management(ELCM) reviews

Supportingthe Configuration Control activities of the Mission Planning product

Supportingtesting of the Supplier Mission Planning Product in support of Qualificationevidence

Supportingthe integration of Mission Planning solution with the rigs and aircraft

Supportingactivities associated with entry into service of the Mission Planningcapability

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

Degreein Engineering (e.g. Aeronautical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering) /equivalentexperience

Knowledge& understanding of Mission Planning Systems & Product

ExperiencedSystems Engineer

Backgroundin Testing

Desirable

DOORS

ProductLifecycle Management

Understandingof Support Programmes, preferably within Avionics

Experienceworking with Export Suppliers/Customers
