Location: Hatfield Distribution Centre (AL10 9BD) & General Merchandise Centre (AL7 1HH). Free parking is available on site or we offer a free shuttle bus from Hatfield train station.

Shifts: 18:00-06:00, 4 out of 7 shifts per week.

Ocado Hatfield is recruiting for a Nights Operations Manager.

The Hatfield site (CFC1) is a full 24hr 7 day a week operation, housing over 2,000 colleagues. The site dispatches over 150,000 orders per week, that’s an incredible 8.6 million products arriving on customer’s doorsteps every week. Just from this site alone.

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the main focus of the Operations Manager is to lead and motivate those around you to drive and develop all aspects of site activity across the Customer Fulfilment Centre in relation to our 5 Pillars: Cost, Safety, Quality, Delivery and People. As well as providing motivation and driving excellence in all that we do, it is also the responsibility of the Operations Manager to effectively plan resources in line with budgets and business objectives.

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the performance of Area Managers ensuring they meet demanding targets, deadlines and KPIs; to maximise operational performance and efficiency. Safety is also paramount and ensuring process compliance across all areas is a key part of the role. Ultimately, you will ensure that our customers continue to receive outstanding service.

Ideally you’ll be from a similar background, having experience working in a high volume, complex business. You’ll be capable of leading fast paced and diverse teams and have the ability to drive production through efficiency and process improvement.
