We provide top-quality flood modelling and forecasting services, working to help our clients understand and mitigate flood risk in order to protect the population, design more resilient infrastructure, and prepare for the challenges that climate change will pose.

Demand for these services continues to grow, and in response to this we are keen to engage a talented flood modeller or flood risk specialist to strengthen our team. This position can be offered on a full-time or a part-time basis.

As a Flood Modeller, you will be part of a large team of hydrologists, hydraulic modellers and flood risk specialists, working closely with our teams of engineers to deliver a wide range of modelling assignments for UK and international clients. These may include flood hydrology and forecasting, pluvial, fluvial, reservoir, coastal and water quality modelling, flood risk assessments, NFM and Computational Fluid Dynamics. Your input will help our internal teams and external clients to deliver complex multidisciplinary projects that will provide great benefits to local communities and the environment.

Under the supervision and support of our senior staff, you will develop your skills and be trained to become an expert in the field. We will provide opportunities to manage projects and interact with clients, encouraging you to attain all the attributes requited for Chartership.

What qualifications, aptitudes and experience will you need?
Relevant degree-level qualifications (e.g. hydrology, geography, mathematics, civil engineering, or other related disciplines)
Keen interest in flood risk management and related environmental areas
Good understanding of hydraulic modelling
Competent in modelling and geo-spatial software packages (eg: ISIS, TUFLOW, FEH, ArcGIS, MapInfo)
