Project Scheduling SME

Would you like to support multiple projects and programmes by putting into place a detailed and resourced schedule suitable to interface with the Project Control System? We currently have a vacancy for a Project Scheduling SME at our site in Warton with flexibility to work from home.

As a Project Scheduling SME, you will bring scheduling experience into teams which will enable more efficient and predictable project delivery and therefore better project outcomes.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work and engage across all the different projects and programmes being undertaken in the UK to support the Saudi business getting a full view of the varied portfolio of projects.

Your main responsibilities as a Project Scheduling SME will involve:

Building robust resourced baselined schedules for all BAES SA UK Projects and Contracts

Providing scheduling expertise and advice to all BAES SA UK Project Professionals

Developing Process Documentation to govern and manage Schedule development and maintenance in the BAES SA UK Teams

Reviewing the processes and toolsets that support schedule management within BAES SA UK and identify areas where they can be improved

Undertaking quality checks of Project Schedules in use on BAES SA UK Projects

Providing expert advice on the credibility and robustness of Project schedules in support of Project and Bid reviews with senior management

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential Skills:

Proven work experience of working within a either a Project Controller / Scheduling / Planning role

Proven work experience of scheduling skills. You should be able to build schedules for projects from scratch with baselines and ensure it is fully resourced

Experience of working within sectors such as Aerospace, Aeronautical, Oil & Gas, Automotive and/or FMCG etc.

Demonstrable experience of working within a fast-paced environment, where you have been able to show strong stakeholder management skills with both internal and/or external stakeholders, at all levels.

Proven experience of using Microsoft tools such as Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

Desirable Skills:

Proven experience of using either Cobra and/or Open Plan Project toolsets

Project Management Qualifications such APM or Prince2 etc.

Proven Project experience within a large and complex organisation

Project experience related to Typhoon, Tornado and/or Hawk
