Trainee Bus Driver - Weymouth

We are looking for Trainee Bus Drivers to join us in the Weymouth area!

Going out on the open road as a bus driver, you'll work on your own initiative and take ownership of your bus on its travels, looking after passenger safety and providing a great customer experience. You'll drive different routes, issue tickets and drop people off at their destinations.

As a qualified bus driver you will be earning £9.11 - £10.00 per hour + great benefits (£8.72 per hour whilst in training - training on average lasts 4 weeks). Your working hours will be between 39 per week (this is a permanent position).

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is a good communicator and gets on well with people. You must be patient, a safe driver, reliable and calm under pressure. Happy to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, evenings and weekends, you should also have a full UK driving licence (with no more than 3 points).

Training & Qualifications:

Full paid training will be provided which includes;

  • Training for a PCV Licence
  • Vehicle and route familiarisation
  • Ticket machine and ticket type training

We are the local bus company in the Wessex area. We have two depots located in Weymouth and Bridport from which we serve Dorset, South Somerset and East Devon. Our services run across the 95 miles of coastline between Poole and Axminster and 185 million years of history. With so many bus routes you could be taking our customers to explore the West Bay, Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum, Portland Bill and many other places to find out what makes our area such a spectacular and unique World Heritage Site.
