We have a new opportunity for a Covid Inspector to join our Scotland East team with positions available at the following locations:

  • Larbert
  • Bannockburn
  • Livingston

As a Covid Inspector you will be earning £11.25 per hour, working 35-39 hours per week over 5 days and will be required to work shifts.

Basic Purpose of Role?

  • Promote social distancing and encourage staff/visitor/contractor compliance with COVID-19
    public health measures and Operating Company policies and procedures.

  • Increasing understanding of COVID-19 public health measures, such as social distancing,
    wearing face coverings in appropriate settings and hand washing.

  • Educate colleagues/visitors/contractors and customers (where appropriate) explaining COVID-19
    Secure guidelines for Operating Company business premises following Divisional guidelines.

  • Identify and support Depots and functions not following guidelines, escalating as appropriate
    Key accountabilities:

  • Conduct off site observations at major change over points and Bus Stations

  • Signposting employees/visitors/contractors to government guidance and any Company COVID
    Communication updates

  • Monitoring cleaning levels, replenishing touch points and cleaning touch points

  • Directing employees/visitors/contractors to adhere to footfall workflows, encouraging all to follow
    pedestrian one-way systems and working with Operating Company teams to improve this activity.

  • Monitoring employees/visitors/contractors pedestrians through exit and entry points

  • Checking and promoting visibility of COVID-19 Secure messaging

  • Handing out face coverings, hand sanitiser and other relevant Personal Protective Equipment
    relating to COVID-19 where necessary

  • Signposting members of the public and businesses to government guidance

  • Guiding pedestrians through exit and entry points ensuring social distancing protocols are
    adhered to

  • Checking and promoting visibility of COVID-19 Secure messaging

  • Working with Depot teams on queue management in `high footfall` areas, for example, advising
    on one-way systems and social distancing in queues for example -booking on/off

  • Reminding/prompting employees /visitors/contractors to wear face coverings where required in
    relation to business premises.
    • Regularly checking compliance with COVID-19 secure measures through observation, escalating
      to local Management teams and Line Manager as appropriate.

  • Ability to challenge non-compliance and escalate appropriately Additional Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required
  • Awareness of COVID-19 secure regulations, and also COVID-19 secure guidelines.
  • Basic first aid and fire safety- Desirable
  • Excellent customer care and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to gain a rapid understanding of Company COVID procedures
  • High standard of presentation, time-keeping and ability to work under pressure
  • First class communicator.
    • Ability to work alone, unsupervised using own initiative
  • Ability to work a range of differing shift patterns 4am - Midnight
  • Ability to work outdoors, at remote book on off stations (in all weathers). Performance Measures
