Project Leader - Continuous Improvement

Would you like to work within Supply Chain on the production of Submarines to support the Royal Navy? We currently have a vacancy for a Project Leader – Continuous Improvement at our site in Barrow.

As a Project Leader – Continuous Improvement, you will be responsible for the identification, validation and delivery of improvement projects within the site-based Supply Chain Organisation and the external Supply Base.

This role will provide you with coaching and development opportunities including a tailored development plan around your technical and soft skills, helping you to maximise your potential


Your main responsibilities as a Project Leader - Continuous Improvement will involve:

Proactively identifying, validating and delivering Continuous Improvement projects in an end to end Supply Chain environment.

Working cross functionally with Project Management, Supply Chain and Quality Assurance colleagues to deliver quantified business benefits

Realisation of financial and non-financial business benefits

Providing Root cause problem solving, process mapping and implementation of corrective and preventative actions as appropriate

Analysing of and presentation of data across various Visual Management systems



Your Skills And Qualifications:

Essential:

Continuous Improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma) with supplemented evidence to highlight successful delivery and learning

Strong Change Management skills and practical experience in a range of environments (to include implementation of toolsets – CI-related preferably)

Theoretical and practical understanding of Project Management and evidence of effective application through project delivery

A-Levels and/or Degree Qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience

Desirable:

Strong communication skills (written & verbal), problem solving and associated analytical skills

The ability to engage a team towards successfully delivering a desired outcome

Significant presentation experience to a range of audience types and sizes

Ability to learn and apply new concepts, adapt to dynamic and challenging environments

High level of computer literacy, including competent use of full Microsoft Office suite of applications (PowerPoint, Excel & Visio)
