Business Assurance Leader
Would you like to play a key role in assuring governance compliance within BAE Systems Integrated Combat Systems? We currently have a vacancy for a Business Assurance Leader at our site in Filton.
As a Business Assurance Leader, you will be responsible for providing appliance to central business governance within Integrated Combat Systems in order to maintain compliance and drive business and programme efficiencies, providing the Integrated Combat Systems management team with increased confidence in its business environment. You will be also be maintaining improved quality and efficiency of the processes deployed across Integrated Combat Systems via its programme management plans and ensuring a high calibration of assurance that demonstrates control in the delivery of all programmes and projects undertaken.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work closely with a range of stakeholders across functions in BAE Systems Integrated Combat Systems, which could lead to further opportunities within the team or wider BAE Systems business.
Your main responsibilities as a Business Assurance Leader will involve:
Maintain compliance with corporate policies through monitoring, audit and improvement across all integrated combat systems programme, functions and departments
Coordinate Integrated Combat Systems Operational Assurance Statement (OAS) returns, ensuring that all Amber and Red returns are supported by a robust return to green plans
Coordinate audit schedule to test the robustness of OAS 'Green' returns
Plan and Coordinate the annual Integrated Combat Systems audit schedule
Assist operational and support functions with information assurance / security, and business continuity guidance
Provide monthly compliance scorecard, identifying areas of business risk with proposed mitigated actions.
Your skills and qualifications:
Broad experience/knowledge/awareness of business processes including but not limited to: Project Management, Engineering, Finance, Commercial and Supply Chain
Understanding of the operations of Commercial, Project Management, Supply Chain and Finance
Degree in business management (of equivalent experience)
Project management experience
Quality assurance background

Integrated Combat Systems:
Integrated Combat Systems is part of BAE Systems Submarines. We predominantly supply to the UK MoD but with smaller derivative work done in support of international Customers. Our team is responsible for system design, build and/or procurement of the major electronic and mechanical systems on a submarine, as well as provision of test, integration and support services.
Innovation is central to our DNA and has produced the Common Combat System (CCS) to address the customer’s affordability, technology and capability challenges. It is based on commercial off-the-shelf technology (COTS) coupled with bespoke military hardware and software and is being progressively rolled-out into the UK's Submarine flotilla.
We effectively incorporate rapidly evolving, commercial technology, new capabilities and changes coming from the operational environment into long-term build, maintenance and in-service programmes.
