The Opportunity: Partner Success Team, at Microsoft is looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual to join as a Partner Technical Architect (PTA). As a PTA you will be playing a critical role helping Microsoft Partners to capitalize on $2.2 trillion-dollar Digital Transformation market opportunity. You will be a technical thought leader at the intersection of the largest system integrators, helping the world’s most innovative companies, large and small.

Overseeing Digital Transformation Success: The PTA plays a critical role in working with partners to provide deep Business Application platform and Power Platfrom technical engagements through solution build and first mile customer engagements including Proof of Concepts, Architectural Design Sessions (ADS), Hackathons
The Role: The PTA is a Solutions Architect building relationship with partner technical and development resources designing and architecting new solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Power platform. PTAs deliver value via a portfolio of service delivery engagements optimized to accelerate partner solution builds and first mile customer wins.
A Solutions Architect: The PTA Is a technology expert who stands out because of their deep solutions knowledge. They can go toe-to-toe with Microsoft’s Business Application platform and Power Platfrom engineering teams and blackbelts often surfacing product issues, feeding back valuable data and insights that accelerate fixes and updates.
The ideal candidate: will have proven experience and skills in a customer/partner facing role at a leadership level and have demonstrated success leading deep technical value discussions with senior executives, driving decisions and implementation. The successful candidate for this role will have a balance of technical and sales acumen and some business development skills. This position is highly visible within the partner’s organization and is expected to lead the technical strategies and motions to accelerate our partners growth while delivering customer success.
The Partner Technical Architect (PTA) within the Worldwide Partner Success Team will drive practice-based partner technical capabilities in collaboration with the Partner Development Managers (PDMs). This is a partner facing role that is accountable for developing and supporting Microsoft Business Application practices with global services partners. Key responsibilities include:
Partner Enablement and Execution
Technical Enablement. Jointly develop technical enablement plan with partner(s)
Enablement Execution. Lead and/or contribute to the delivery of workshops, bootcamps, and trainings necessary to build the technical skills and expertise of partners
Technical Engagement. Lead the execution of deep technical engagements, including Technical Briefings, Proof of Concepts, Architectural Design Sessions, and Hackathons with the goal of defining and brining new solutions to market
Skilling and Best Practice Sharing. Network and collaborate with Microsoft’s Engineering and Global Black Belt teams on specific skill requirements for partners and the sharing of best practices
Practice & Solution Development. Improve partners’ success in implementing solutions and/or practice development by increasing the number of FastTrack endorsed architects in the partner’s organization
Evangelism. Evangelize partners’ practices and solutions in customers’ implementations via Technical briefings and Architecture Review Sessions
Pre-Sales. Enable the partner on key strategic partner’s opportunities through: Technical Architectural Review, Architectural Design Sessions (ADS), Proof of Concepts, Advanced Workshops, Hackathons, Deployment and Consumption Review.
Implementation Success: Improves partner’s implementation success by sharing best practices, solution reviews and increasing the number of FastTrack endorsed architects in the partner’s organization.
Technical Upskilling and Networking
Technical and Market Trend Acumen. Maintain technical skills and knowledge of market trends, opportunities, and competitive insights by staying abreast of various in-person and virtual events delivered by Industry thought leaders such as Gartner, Forrester, IDC, ISG/Saugatuck
Technical Networking. Invest in own LinkedIn Profile to promote expertise and experiences. Build an expansive Network of partner technical contacts, as well as internal Microsoft contacts including Engineering, Global Black belts, M&O and peer Architects
Technical Events & Community Contribution. Attend Digital Transformation/Technology conferences such as Build. Participate in technical panels and user groups, provide insights, and contribute work that is shared across communities such as MSDN and Channel9.
Experiences Required: Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:
Deep understanding of cloud computing, business drivers, and emerging computing trends and their impact on customer opportunities.
Proven experience in technology solutions development, Cloud / Business Applications technologies. Knowledge of MS platform preferable, project management, technical Sales, and technical account management.
Clear experience in Dynamics 365 with deep specialization Dynamics 365 CRM, specially in Customer Service, Marketing, Field Service and Customer Insights.
Experience with the Power Platform technologies, such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, and Power BI is highly preferred
Fluent knowledge of Microsoft cloud services and technical expertise of the Microsoft platform
Recommended domain knowledge areasDeep technical skill on business application platform, technical components of the Dynamics 365 platform, and significant experience in the relevant practice area and technology focus.
Orchestration of application development lifecycle
Experience in vertical industries, proven by projects/solutions implemented with substantial business processes covering Financial and Insurance, Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, Healthcare/Life Sciences, Retail, or other business to consumer industry scenarios.
Demonstrable architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of complex application architectures
Extensive experience of collaborating with virtual teams across functions and geographies: Inclusive and collaborative – driving teamwork and cross-team alignment
Strong partner relationship management and solution development skills
Conversant knowledge of competing platforms and solutions
Proven track record of building deep sales relationships with CXOs and practice building executives in ISV, MSP, CD and SIs

Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small technical audiences.
Problem solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, conflict resolution, and follow through with partners.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field experience required, MBA strongly preferred
Certifications in domain-specific technologies required.
Be a Microsoft Dynamics 365 certified (for example, Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Field Service, Dynamics 365 for Customer Service), or have an industry equivalent certification.
