Supply Chain Finance Product Team

Position Description: J.P. Morgan Global Trade is looking for a Supply Chain Finance Product candidate to be part of the Supply Chain Finance Product team in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. The Product Lead will manage Supply Chain Finance product development and innovation as well as product maintenance. The role will be responsible for building out product capabilities, coordinating with key partners, driving product approvals, and operationalizing offerings. Leadership and Ownership skills will thus be key for applicants interested in the role.

Key success factors for this role include knowledge of Working Capital Finance and Supply Chain Finance product development and transactions. The Product Lead will partner with Sales, Credit Risk, Operations, and various other internal lines of business to determine and deliver the Supply Chain Finance strategy and growth. A candidate knowledgeable in open accounts solutions and the corresponding competitive, legal and regulatory environment would be most suitable for the role.

As the product offering grows, the incumbent will also be working closely with parties external to J.P. Morgan, including but not limited to, legal counsels, central bank authorities, and potential candidates for collaboration.

Job Responsibilities

Key elements of the job are:

Drive country and currency expansion: Manage the product build-out to ensure global capabilities become best in class within the industry

Provide product leadership and regional guidance

Ensure SCF strategy proactively adapts to meet changing market and client needs; Takes into account competition, market dynamics, macro-economic and regulatory impacts and drives product innovation

Provide SCF market updates and guidance on new regulations/directives/rules impacting SCF

Drive Execution and efficiencies. Work with Technology and Operations to enhance systems and procedures

Lead legal/tax/compliance discussions with internal Legal partners and external legal counsels to ensure product meets evolving requirements in every jurisdiction.

Develop product training and marketing materials

RFP support

Uphold the firm’s risk and control policies

Partners closely with Regional Management and Functional partners to achieve product goals and all the above initiatives Experience and Skill Requirements

Experience of Supply Chain Finance from either a Product, Sales, Operations or Client Service perspective. The candidate will have an understanding of the Supply Chain Finance product including its operation, process flow and financials. This also includes strong knowledge of corporate finance, corporate credit and legal risk.

Exceptional organization, multitasking and time management skills. Personal impact and credibility are essential, as is a methodical and detailed eye for the ongoing operation of the product. Ownership and organisational skills are required to marshal internal resources in support of projects. The incumbent must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities on a daily basis, so some experience of effective project management skills are desirable.
