Job Description SummaryThis grade EU role is for a Software Engineer with a General User Interface (GUI) specialism. The successful candidate will be part of the Group Corporate Treasury Design Feature Team, responsible for delivering GUI designs for initiatives impacting Treasury applications and associated data integration, control and reporting systems within the Finance Value Stream. Your contribution will be instrumental to our strategy of simplifying, modernising, and de-risking the Finance technology landscape, enabling the Bank of the Future and ultimately driving value for customers and shareholders. This is a key role at the financial heart of LBG, underpinning the long-term sustainability and integrity of the organisation.
You will have experience of designing GUI solutions for demanding stakeholders, demonstrating diligence, insight and willingness to challenge. With excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will identify and own design decisions, and drive their resolution. This is a leadership level role and will blend both deep domain and technical expertise within a feature team and great passion for coaching and developing people in a “player-coach” model. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Finance systems and governance, strong organisational awareness, and a talent for GUI design and implementation.

About the team
You'll be a part of the Group Corporate Treasury Design Feature Team. Our team leads on the delivery of web-based applications and services for initiatives impacting Treasury applications and associated data integration, control and reporting systems.
About the role
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience using the .NET framework, with an understanding of best practice and when and how to use design patterns. You’ll have experience of building .NET solutions for demanding stakeholders, demonstrating diligence, insight, and willingness to challenge. With excellent interpersonal skills, you'll identify and own design decisions, and drive their resolution.
The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail that you’ll demonstrate with examples and be able to articulate implementation decisions/trade-offs when building solutions.

What we need from you
The minimum skills and experienced you’ll need to apply:
- Technical knowledge and experience in .NET; having experience building Web, Desktop and API solutions.
- Understanding of design patterns, specifically applied to .NET, and promoting best practices.
- Proven experience with C# and Microsoft platform.
- You’ll be experienced in identifying shortcomings and suggesting improvements to existing processes, systems, and procedures.
- Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Git, Jenkins, Urbancode, and Docker.
Nice to have skills and experience
We would welcome someone that is knowledgeable of React Framework, database management, data integration, cloud/SaaS integration, cybersecurity, and authentication would be advantageous. It is also desirable to have someone that has exposure to Finance and accounting systems, and experience leading and prioritising a backlog of design work in an agile environment though not essential.
