About the programme

The Group Finance Apprenticeship Programme, starting in September 2021, offers exciting and fulfilling career opportunities for inquisitive, forward-thinking and solution-focused people.

Group Finance is a business function that plays a vital role in keeping Lloyds Banking Group safe,successfuland sustainable while supporting the Group’s vision to be the best bank for customers. We manage all aspects of finance for the group, enabling the business to make better financial decisions. We puteffective and transparent controls in place to manage risk, whilst meeting our statutory and regulatory requirements. That’s quite a responsibility, given that we’re one of Britain’s largest banks and the largest provider of digital financial products in the UK.

This programme will give you significant insights into our business. Our central role offers a perspective of how Lloyds Banking Groupfunctions as a whole, andyou’ll also discover how business areas operate across the organisation. This added exposure can be a valuablestepping stonetowards senior leadership positions in the future. As a Finance Apprentice we can ensure you have the relevant support to develop the right specialist and leadership skills for a successful and impactful career.

What you’ll do

You’ll enjoy placements in the Group Finance Team teams where you will gain experience in one of our sub-teams who are responsible for reconciling, analysing and reporting on key data and results for Lloyds Banking Group. The role providesan excellentopportunity to build core finance skills and gain experience acrossa number ofteams through a mixture of formal and on-the-job training.

You will completeyour Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician (ACCA) qualification by the end ofYear 2, and oncompletion of the Level 4 we will support you to complete your Level 7 Accountancy/Taxation professional (ACCA) apprenticeship, with a combined study time or around 5 years.

We are looking for inquisitive people with a mind for numbers and a passion for building great relationships who are looking to begin a career in finance. You’ll have realresponsibilitiesand you’ll have support and development opportunities that are tailored to match your interests, plus a range of flexible benefits that come with a permanent role.

Entry requirements

  • Grade B or above in Maths GCSE (or equivalent)

  • 96 UCAS points (or equivalent)

  • We expect you to be motivated, ambitious and committed to your own development.In particular, youwill be keen to get to grips with financial systems and processes.
