Salary: Up to £80,000 p/annum depending on experience

THE ROLE

The Guarantee and Wholesale Solutions (GWS) team originates, structures and manages cash and risk transfer transactions of SME finance portfolios. The team executes transactions with SME lenders such as banks and non-bank financial institutions and seeks to address the funding, security and capital constraints these entities may face that prevent them from increasing their credit activity in the small business sector.

The Senior Manager GWS Products will successfully execute GWS originated transactions within scope of the business plan and in line with the Bank’s objectives and values. You will refer to the Director GWS Products for issues which are non-standard, commercially sensitive or require further product development but otherwise will execute transactions independently. You will also originate new transactions and act as a ‘go to’ expert in one or more GWS products both to internal as well as external stakeholders.

You will help to develop and, in some cases, directly manage more junior colleagues and manage deal teams when required. You will market products with our Relationship Team and liaise with the legal department regarding transactions. In this role you will also be required to manage all risks (operational, reputational and regulatory) during the execution phase and post-completion in conjunction with our Portfolio team.

In this position you will need extensive experience in securitisation or equivalent capital markets roles. You will have proven experience in marketing and executing securitisation transactions either in a deal team or independently and there is a preference this experience comes from SME securitisations. You will have strong analytical and financial modelling skills (including cash flow modelling and data analysis) and excellent knowledge of applicable regulatory frameworks.

You will have excellent communication skills and senior-level commercial negotiating skills and it is preferred that you are also proficient in VBA and/or MS Access. You will be educated to degree level in a quantitative discipline or have equivalent work experience. You will inspire confidence, collaboration and you will encourage diversity of thought.
