As Senior Manager Guarantee Operations you will focus on the delivery and management of critical product processes through our key suppliers. This role will lead on Delivery Partner engagement with our current and future suppliers to ensure transparency, consistency and value for money across our Delivery Partner network. You will support engagement with Delivery Partners to optimise interactions with the wider Guarantee Operations team and continually review product updates and improvements to ensure consistency across Guarantee Operations with a specific focus on the commercial oversight of the supplier.

The Guarantee and Wholesale Solutions (GWS) team originates, structures and manages cash and risk transfer transactions of SME loan and asset finance portfolios. The GWS team played a lead role in the delivery of the Bank’s Covid response guarantee products (CBILS, CLBILS and BBLS) which introduced new concepts to the UK SME finance market.

Reporting to the Director of Guarantee Operations and Covid Portfolio Management, you will manage the guarantee operations of Delivery Partners ensuring adherence to scheme and Investment Committee/MD Forum agreed terms. You will be the first point of contact for Delivery Partner operational queries relating to products and support the development and management of a Quarterly Portfolio Review (QPR) for the Covid Guarantee Schemes, ensuring consistency with other product QPRs. As Senior Manager Guarantee Operations you will effectively manage and mitigate known and emerging risks in relation to the operations centre and escalate where appropriate.

It is essential that you have knowledge of the SME finance market and a good understanding of market segmentation and associated risk profiles. You will have a track record of operating within multifunctional teams to deliver complex business outcomes and it is preferred that you have knowledge of credit portfolios and operationalising guarantee schemes. You will have excellent communication skills and be confident managing stakeholders. You will inspire confidence; collaboration and you will encourage diversity of thought. You will be educated to degree level or hold equivalent experience.
