Senior Engineering Integration Engineer

Would you like to play a key role within Engineering Integration, supporting senior roles and working across many business functions and engineering disciplines? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Engineering Integration Engineer at our site in Warton.

As a Senior Engineering Integration Engineer, you will be managing multiple aspects; such as integration of component parts, application of Systems Engineering across the engineering disciplines and throughout the lifecycle. Customer requirements will also be translated into solutions that meet specifications, ensuring design, certification and control.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to gain exposure of high-level engineering activities, providing the link between the lower level and the detailed work required to define and develop our modern complex products. This will allow you to build a network and solidify your strong skill set for career development.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Engineering Integration Engineer will involve:

Engineering Integration with steer the broad/generic engineering activities across the Engineering function and continues to evolve to align with modern working practices, although it is currently scoped across four key areas with twelve sub-disciplines:

System Level Specialisms

  • Safety Engineering

  • Product Environmental

  • Airframe Integration

Capability & Governance

  • Strategy & Capability Management

  • Governance & Assurance

Creating technical documentation in accordance with Departmental Quality Management Procedures and Processes

Providing technical support during development, with clear understanding of the product, risks, issues, assumptions & dependencies associated with the products

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential Skills:

Degree educated in a STEM discipline or HND/HNC equivalent qualification/experience

Proven experience in an engineering integration environment such as Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing etc.

Proven knowledge and/or experience of Model Based Engineering approaches and the modern structured toolsets/languages such as SysML, UML, relationship database, software scripting, etc.

Working use of Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel & PowerPoint

You should be able to demonstrate that you can communicate effectively with stakeholders and that you can work both individually and within a team

Desirable Skills:

Proven work experience with within a FastJet environment

Previous experience in an engineering integration environment

The role will require some use of structured toolsets as outlined above and Requirements Management tools such as IBM Telelogic DOORS, so previous experience would be beneficial, however training can be provided to the successful candidate

Additionally, you will have creative problem-solving skills and be comfortable with suggesting improvements and introducing novel ideas. This will allow you to be an effective team member who can coordinate and manage programmes and forge key partners with internal and external stakeholders.

Salary: £37,654.00+
