As a Media Insight Assistant Manager you'll be responsible for:

  • Utilising multiple data sources to derive learnings to support the Marketing Communications and Planning teams to deliver effective and efficient Brand campaign media plans

  • Making data-led, action-orientated and credible media and budget deployment recommendations

  • Working in collaboration with stakeholders across and outside of Chief Customer Office (COO): campaign teams, marketing effectiveness (econometrics), data teams, marketing research team and our media agency partner

  • Supporting colleagues in developing and embedding strategic approaches to present and future media planning to ensure CCO is prepared to take appropriate advantage of the evolving media landscape now and in the future, including Media channel test-and-learn activities designed to develop our knowledge database of effective and efficient media choices for any scenario

  • Leading the development of the Analytics & Insights team modelled inputs within the annual Brand campaign media budgeting process

We're looking for the following in you:

  • Historic, proven, experience in data centric B2C media planning or auditing across both offline and online channels in either a client or agency based environment

  • Robust knowledge of the current media landscape, reporting mechanisms, the challenges and opportunities within it; with a hunger to explore and exploit opportunities within new and future media channels

  • To be a subject matter expert in the intricacies of media buying and pricing with an ability to maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of our media planning and buying

  • Highly data-literate with experience in aligning disparate data sources to develop and deliver clear, actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders

  • The ability to translate outcomes of econometric modelling to track performance, forecast outcomes and set budgets

  • Understanding the mechanisms by which clients and media agencies work together, and overcome challenges

  • A keen interest in maximising the opportunities, and in overcoming the limitations of, new and traditional media

  • A focus on getting the best Customer outcomes

Additional skills that would be advantageous

  • Experience with data manipulation and extraction tools SQL, VBA, R, Tableau

  • A knowledge of consumer research methodologies (such as Ipsos, YouGov etc) in addition to a robust understanding of media research methodologies

  • Experience in audience segmentation and profiling and the implications for media strategy
