Safeguarding and Wellbeing Practitioner
Would you like a highly varied and rewarding role working within Early Careers? We currently have a vacancy for a Safeguarding and Wellbeing Practitioner at our site in Fulwood, Preston.
As a Safeguarding and Wellbeing Practitioner, you will provide advice, guidance and support to apprentices, graduates and Early Careers delivery and management teams in relation to Safeguarding, Wellbeing, Prevent and British Values.
Within this role, in conjunction with The Safeguarding and Wellbeing Manager, you will ensure compliance with BAE Systems Early Careers & Skills Safeguarding policy and external regulatory bodies, and promote and develop a supportive safeguarding and wellbeing cultural environment across all Early Careers UK programmes and the wider business

Your main responsibilities as a Safeguarding and Wellbeing Practitioner will involve:
Maintaining and managing accurate records of safeguarding concerns, monitor interventions, identify key themes and ensure relevant support is provided and key concerns escalated as necessary
Leading on safeguarding support and referral interventions to our Early Careers staff, in addition to guidance to our delivery, management and support staff within our business and sub-contractors
Leading on the development of well-being activities across the Early Careers population providing central co-ordination in addition to localised support
Leading in the delivery of safeguarding, wellbeing, Prevent and British Values training for our Early Careers population
Leading in the delivery of Safeguarding, Prevent, British Values and Wellbeing training to staff involved in the delivery of Early Careers programmes, ensuring staff feel empowered to carry out their duties in line with company safeguarding policy and process.
Managing accurate central records, undertake local compliance checks and ensure effective service quality and confidentiality of safeguarding interventions and concerns is maintained at all times.
Your skills and qualifications:
Expert knowledge and experience of safeguarding and support of young people
Experience of delivering training and awareness in relation to safeguarding
Experience and knowledge in relation to the Prevent Duty and British Values
Experience in maintaining and managing a central record of safeguarding concerns
Passionate about improving the wellbeing of the early careers population and experienced in doing so
Experience of Wellbeing intervention – for example mental health
Able to analyse data and key themes

Experience of engaging others and promoting participation in activity that promotes improved and modernised data production and utilisation.
Location: Fulwood, Preston
Salary: £36,000 +
