Senior QC Inspector- Weld
Would you like to play a key role within Quality, working on Submarines that are delivered to the UK? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior QC Inspector at our site in either Middlesbrough/Newcastle.
As a Senior QC Inspector, you will be working on an extensive order book, based in the Strategic Manufacturing area of the Business. This will involve many NDE disciplines including Visual Inspection & Crack Detection.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to carry out inspections and work in a diverse area of the business with opportunity for development in your career.
Your main responsibilities as a Senior QC Inspector- Weld will involve:
Carrying out Structural Inspection of Manufacture and Construction of Equipment and Structures on the Dreadnought Programme
Maintaining compliance and assuring and integrity of the plant
Working to controls and procedures
Being responsible for the execution and accurate reporting of NDE inspections
Perform audits of other PCN qualified inspectors
Your skills and qualifications:
Structural/Pipe welding background
Good IT skills
Experience and proficiency with SAP

Our Submarines business has been safely delivering world class submarines to the UK Royal Navy for more than a century.
The Astute class will equip the Royal Navy with its largest and most capable generation of attack submarines. We are responsible for the design, build, test and commissioning of these state-of-the-art vessels. In total, seven boats will make up the fleet, each weighing a mighty 7,400 tonnes.
