Risk Surveillance Manager

We have an outstanding opportunity for a Risk Surveillance Manager to join our Risk Management team in London. Performing surveillance for the EMEA region, you will address potential market manipulation and misconduct, insider trading and misuse of electronic communication.

You will be the subject matter expert for surveillance for the EMEA Equity and Equity Derivatives Trading division and support any new business initiatives arising from those functions. Working with local and global teams you will ensure an appropriate and coordinated level of surveillance is conducted on a daily basis including escalating and following up issues to a successful conclusion whilst ensuring minimum global standards are met. You will help develop the strategic vision of the function; ensuring surveillance tools and processes are fit for purpose and effective. You’ll also develop comprehensive and accurate metrics for reporting and distribution to Compliance and business management, including any regulator notifications when required.

With demonstrated experience from a similar role within the banking and financial services industry, you will have experience using industry leading surveillance applications, including NTS (Nasdaq Trade Surveillance) or ‘SMARTs’, Actimize or similar. You will have a strong understanding of business processes, booking methodologies and client interaction, along with a good knowledge of Compliance and Surveillance. You will be self-directed, with the ability to proactively identify and analyse problems and provide solutions. Your ability to build relationships with various stakeholders in region and globally will see you flourish in this role.
