Business Improvement Analyst

As a Business Improvement Analyst you will operate as part of an internal consultancy capability and will be focusing on transformational business projects possessing the necessary skills to analyse and improve current procedures, processes and ways of working. Your main responsibilities as a Business Improvement Analyst will involve:

Assessing, analyzing and mapping current processes, procedures, systems, environment, business interfaces and ways of working and their respective performance

Identifying opportunity and risk mitigation together with building project plans capable of delivering the required results in a timely manner

Utilizing problem solving methodology to identify and address root causes

Developing, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance the delivery of the Astute and potential Successor submarine programmes, maintaining a focus across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People

Ensuring the delivery of the business's strategic objectives by focusing and prioritizing improvement on critical areas


Collating of frameworks, processes, tools and techniques as assets deployable on change programmes across the business

Acting as an advocate of effective continuous business improvement to ensure the competitiveness and longevity of submarine building at the shipyard in Barrow-in-Furness supporting the community and future generations

Your skills and qualifications:

STEM degree or equivalent experience, or a qualification with an analytical analysis background

Evidence of strong mathematical and analytical skills applied to resolving problems and driving improvements

Strong stakeholder management, influencing and relationship building skills at all organisational levels

Ability to drive and effectively deliver change-based projects creating sustainable results

Knowledge of IT packages
Confident in the use of IT packages
