As an F35 UK Sustainment – Avionic Mechanic, you will be contributing to the delivery of the Maintenance Capability for UK Freedom of Action, for F-35 Aircraft.
This growth role will provide you with a unique opportunity to support the 5th generation of stealth fighter jets and deliver this capability in the UK within a purpose-built facility.
Your main responsibilities as an F-35 UK Sustainment - Avionic Mechanic will involve:
Reporting to the F-35 On Aircraft Maintenance Manager
Undertaking a range of maintenance activities on an aircraft or aircraft components
Requires a basic understanding of the construct of the approved Technical Information set and is competent to work to maintenance instructions with support and in accordance with the organisation’s MOE
You will demonstrate the ability to follow approved Technical Information and work effectively within a team, in a diverse and dynamic operational environment
Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally, in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent military qualifications
Academic qualification for this role is a minimum of City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance or equivalent
2 years’ experience of working within and the practical application of EASA/MRP Part 145
A log Book demonstrating breadth of experience, currency & recency of skills, knowledge and authorities for working on Aircraft type or in bays
Demonstrable evidence of recent progression towards EASA Part 66 B2 Aircraft Engineers Licence with aircraft of commensurate complexity to F35
Holder of EASA Part 66 B2 Aircraft Engineers Licence with aircraft of commensurate complexity to F35
Experience of working on complex military aircraft programmes.
You will have the ability of working and contributing to the team ethos and hold good interpersonal and communication skills.
