The Eastern Bridges and Civil Structures team is part of the Building and Infrastructure division and has been successful in securing project wins with Story Contracting, BAM, Network Rail and Volker Rail, also delivering current schemes with clients such as Morgan Sindall, Babcock Rail and Balfour Beatty. Due to this we are growing our team at all levels and are seeking a Senior Engineer, with Civil and Structural experience including bridge design, of which some is rail related.

Candidate Specification
We are looking for a Chartered Engineer / near chartered engineering. Candidates will have extensive experience in both Rail and Highway projects, with a personal interest in Civil and Structural Engineering which will be utilised across a broad range of engineering projects.
* Experience of a range of bridge / civil engineering solutions
* CEng, MICE or similar
* Competency with both BS, HA, NR and Eurocode design standards
* Experience of working in UK bridge engineering and involvement in the full project lifecycle
* Proven team management experience, with the ability to lead and mentor graduates
* Experience working in or with a multi-disciplinary design consultancy
* Strong technical focus
* Strong IT skills
* Capability to work to deadlines and work autonomously when required
Job Description
As an experienced Engineer, you will be involved on a range of small to large projects including those which have a high industry and public profile. The role will be challenging, varied and demanding while offering fantastic opportunities for skill set and career development.
You will be required to work autonomously within a growing team carrying out feasibility works, design assessment and strengthening depending upon project requirements. You will also be required to manage projects and assist with business development and tendering.
Please note that this is a 12 months fixed term contract.
