The Account Executive at Microsoft leads our most valued customers into the digital age.  Embracing a challenger mindset, the successful Account Executive manages, orchestrates and leads their virtual teams and closes opportunities with customers that produce transformative business outcomes.  ​

The Account Executive will be responsible for the following:  ​

Business Manager ​

Lead with Industry or Solution Sales Play - Building trusted relationships through engagements focused on driving the customers desired business outcomes using Microsoft technologies ​

Transformation Manager ​

Reliably deliver on the customers business and technology outcomes. Continue to lead Digital Transformation discussions with customers through best in class virtual engagements.  ​

Account Orchestration Team Manager ​

Orchestrating and coordinating the team, ensuring that the  best of Microsoft and our partners is brought to bear to help our customers deliver their business goals. 


Key Accountabilities

Effectively engage and run a large virtual team
Take our customers on a journey of digital transformation and move to the cloud
Take ownership for the customer experience
Meet or exceed revenue objectives set by the business
Increase Microsoft’s credibility and depth of engagement in the Financial Services Sector
Engage and successfully drive partners around relevant solutions
Ensure that the customer gets best value from their investments by driving consumption of cloud services
Work seamlessly with the Microsoft Consulting organisation to the benefit of the customer, partners and Microsoft

Key Success Criteria

Achievement of commercial objectives
Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date strategic sales account plans
Maintain an accurate forecast and healthy pipeline of opportunities
Manage stakeholders within and outside Microsoft
Achievement of all scorecard metrics
Drive opportunity reviews (inclusive of partners)
Engage with and lead the Microsoft Specialist Sales team and other virtual team members.
Take the lead role in any major sales campaign
Driving powerful PR based on success stories with the customer
Demonstrating the development of senior executive relationships.
Improvement in customer satisfaction measures
Personal positive impact beyond the immediate team
Ability to leverage the full breadth of Microsoft assets and propositions


Essential Experience:

Exemplary track record of high performance
Proven Executive level relationship skills
Proven team leadership skills
Experience of Enterprise Size customer environments

Experience in selling cloud technologies

Desired experience:

Knowledge of Digital Transformation in Financial Services context

We have satellite offices in key city locations throughout the UK and this role has frequent UK travel to customer locations.
