What does the team do

Group IT has the mission to provide the strategic direction, governance and delivery of the core IT services which enable Ocado Group as a whole to deliver on its missions.

The Digital Workplace team is working to ensure that all employees within Ocado Group have the right technologies to do their jobs successfully and in the easiest way possible.This involves providing end users with the optimum software and hardware in five interconnected points. Messaging, Productivity, Collaboration, Communication and Mobility.


What would I be doing?

As the Quality Assurance Manager you will ensure that there is a documented layer of governance around the provision of the Digital Workplace Platform.

The role will involve working closely with other members of the Digital Workplace team to ensure that there are sufficient quality controls in place around the technologies being provisioned. This means being responsible for the creation and maintenance of policies, procedures and processes where required.

  • Develop and document governance controls around the provision and use of the Digital Workplace platform, including policies, processes and procedures
  • Ensure all existing documentation is consistently up to date with the use cases and technologies being used within the platform
  • Work with the Product Managers to ensure any new features and functionalities on the development roadmaps are catered for with relevant documentation
  • Ensure that existing documentation allows for efficient and effective process flows within all areas of Digital Workplace
  • Work with the Product Managers and Training Lead to ensure that all new controls are communicated to and understood by the end users
  • Work with the Ocado Internal Audit team to analyse any findings from regular audits and take on the actions in conjunction with the Digital Workplace Manager
  • Provide alignment with InfoSec, Legal and the DPO to ensure Digital Workplace policies compliment wider corporate policies and processes

What we are looking for

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience in writing IT policy documentation and ensuring it remains up to date and available
  • Strong knowledge of SaaS solutions and controls
  • High standards of expectations for ensuring departmental policies meet Ocado corporate standards
  • Ability to converse technically with supplier and vendors and translate into a communicable standard
  • Strong eye for detail

Desirable

  • Prior experience of G Suite, Slack and Box
