Accountant – Finance Business Partnering
Would you like a highly varied role working closely with the Procurement team for an exciting new project? We currently have a vacancy for a Accountant – Finance Business Partnering at our site in Warton.
As a Accountant – Finance Business Partnering, you will be working with E&I finance, the role will be supporting the Senior Finance Manager in business partnering Procurement.
The role is based at our Warton Aerodrome in the North West of England. Here, we are responsible for the delivery of our European & International commitments for Typhoon, Tornado and Hawk, including Production of Aircraft, Aircraft Capability, and delivering Through Life Support. This is an exciting time to join our team. We have recently finalised an order for 24 Typhoon and 9 Hawk aircraft to Qatar, with production currently underway to support first aircraft deliveries.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work closely with a function outside of Finance, obtaining valuable experience and insight of Procurement. This is a developing role and therefore has the opportunity to re-scope the role and add value.
Your main responsibilities as a Accountant – Finance Business Partnering will involve:
Working alongside the internal Procurement teams to provide financial information, tools, analysis and insight
Challenging the ways of working, helping to make more informed decisions and driving business strategy
Identifying and raising issues to the Procurement Leadership Team
Ensuring robust financial controls are in place and accounting policies are adhered to at all times
Supporting Procurement with Internal and External Audit activities
Proactively seeking to improve local processes and working practices to drive efficiencies across the team and wider business
Assist with improving the cash forecasting process ensuring risks and opportunities are effectively managed
Ad hoc tasks including support to the supplier payment process
Your skills and qualifications:
Must be part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA etc.) and have proven work experience working within Finance
Must be able to communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders as you need to demonstrate the ability to challenge and influence Senior members of the team
Must be autonomous as you will be required to meet key deadlines
Must have used Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word etc. within a professional capacity
A fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA etc.) and have proven work experience working within Finance
Experience of using systems such as LN, TM1 etc.

Salary: £37,654 +
